Dozens of law enforcement officers descended on a single home in Lemon Grove just after 6 a.m. on Wednesday. The coordinated operation involved agents from the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. Neighbors reported hearing the sudden arrival of at least five law enforcement vehicles captured on local surveillance footage.

The FBI stated that agents were conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity on Glebe Street. During the operation, individuals inside the residence fired shots at the agents. The agency confirmed that no FBI personnel were injured in the exchange. It did not clarify whether anyone else at the scene sustained injuries.

Haylee Donahue, a resident living nearby, described the chaotic start to the morning. She heard a woman announce that authorities held a warrant. Donahue saw agents from multiple agencies working in the area. Witnesses described hearing repeated flashbangs and several rounds of gunfire as the standoff unfolded.

For more than an hour, an FBI agent attempted to persuade two people inside the home to surrender. At one point, the agent was heard telling those inside, “I don’t want to see anybody get hurt.” Neighbors reported that authorities continued communicating with a woman who remained inside the house while the man outside was processed.

Nearly two hours after the operation began, a man emerged from the home with his hands raised. Neighbors heard agents refer to him as David. He was taken into custody following the standoff. A woman remained inside the residence as agents continued their efforts to secure the area.

The FBI said it is actively processing the scene and will work at the location for the foreseeable future. The agency noted that all agent-involved shooting reviews follow a well-established and objective process. It asked the public for patience as it collects relevant evidence and examines the circumstances of the shooting.

Authorities stated there is no immediate danger to the surrounding community. They have not released the full identities of the arrested man or the woman involved. No additional details have been provided regarding the specific circumstances that led to the early morning operation.
