Jackson Chourio recorded four hits in a 10-1 victory for the Milwaukee Brewers against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night in St. Petersburg. The win gives Milwaukee a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven World Series.

The Brewers scored 10 runs on 16 hits. The Rays managed only one run on three hits. The visitors took the series lead after winning the first three games. Milwaukee is now 7-0 across the National League Championship Series and the World Series. The team can become the first in Major League Baseball history to win eight consecutive postseason games if it wins Game 4.

Chourio led off the game with a single. He followed with singles in his second and third at-bats. He doubled in the fifth inning during a run that extended the Brewers' lead to eight runs. The double was the slowest of his four hits, traveling at 99 mph. He had two runs and one run batted in through the first five innings. The Rays recorded zero runs on one hit through the first eight innings.

At age 22, Chourio became the youngest player with a four-hit World Series game since Joe Garagiola in 1946. That is a span of 80 years. He is batting .571 with 14 at-bats in the World Series. He has two home runs and three stolen bases in the series. He stole a base in Game 3. He threw out a runner at home in Game 2.

"Yeah, I think that you could say this is one of my better games," Chourio said after the game. "Really, I was just taking every at-bat like it could be my last and trying to find any way I could to get on base. Because I know, as long as I get on base, there's guys behind me who could score."

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said the team is not surprised by Chourio's performance. "Nobody's surprised that Jack Jack's doing this," Murphy said. "He's turning into a fine player. He's understanding what it takes, the discipline that it takes. He's coming into his own. Nobody's shocked. He's just really, really good."

Murphy compared Chourio's work ethic to Kobe Bryant. "He's also played incredible defense, and he stole a base tonight. He's a total player," Murphy said. "Kobe strived to get better and better and better every year because he was so disciplined. Jackson's on that same track."

Chourio played in 127 games this season due to injury. He finished with a 4.9 win added replacement value. He has reached the 20 home run and 20 stolen base mark in three seasons. He is under contract with the Brewers through the 2031 season with two club options that extend his deal through 2033.
