Tiffany & Co. announced on Tuesday that actress Amanda Seyfried has become its latest house ambassador. The designation marks the start of a holiday marketing push centered on intergenerational family bonds.

The campaign, titled "Love is a Gift," launches with a short film called You & Me. Derek Cianfrance directed the production, which was created in partnership with creative agency American Haiku and production company Radical Media. Arseni Khachaturan handled the cinematography.

The narrative alternates between present-day New York and a specific memory from the 1990s. In the current timeline, a woman decorating a Christmas tree in an Upper East Side townhouse discovers a Tiffany Blue Box dated December 1992. The object triggers a flashback to a previous December, where her mother, wearing Tiffany HardWear, presents her with a hand-painted Bird on a Rock ornament.

Tiffany stated that the film explores how a gift can transform into an heirloom that preserves memories and traditions across generations. The specific ornament featured in the movie was produced exclusively for this campaign in collaboration with production designer Karen Murphy. It references the original Bird on a Rock design created by Jean Schlumberger in 1965.

Seyfried expressed her enthusiasm for joining the brand, noting that the campaign celebrates love and family traditions. "You & Me captures beautifully how a meaningful gift can hold memories and become part of a family's story," she said. She added that bringing this concept to life with Tiffany was a special experience for the holiday season.

Anthony Ledru, president and CEO of Tiffany & Co., welcomed Seyfried to the company. "Amanda effortlessly embodies the joy, style and sophistication that have defined Tiffany & Co. for nearly 190 years," Ledru stated. "We are proud to welcome her to the Tiffany family." Seyfried most recently wore the brand's jewelry at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.

The appointment arrives as Seyfried remains a prominent figure in current movie discussions. The film is accompanied by a rendition of the Wannadies' 1984 track "You & Me Song."
