Vanessa Trump, who was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, announced on Friday that new test results show she has no remaining disease. The former wife of Donald Trump Jr. posted a brief clip regarding her health status.
Trump, 48, addressed the matter in a video shared to the Instagram account of her daughter, Kai Trump. She stated that her recent results "came back clear, so I'm finally cancer-free." Vanessa Trump has five children with Trump Jr., who is the eldest son of President Donald Trump.
Kai Trump noted in the post that the clip serves as a preview for a longer video planned for Saturday. In that release, she and her mother will discuss breast cancer awareness and prevention alongside Dr. Nicole Saphier. Kai Trump wrote in the caption that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about early detection, education, and support for those affected by breast cancer. She added that she sat down with her mother and Dr. Nicole Saphier to talk about the journey and to learn more about prevention and early detection.
News of the test results attracted significant attention online. Within hours, the post had garnered more than 20,000 likes and hundreds of comments from people offering support, including American singer and media personality Mary Millben.
According to the source material, Trump received her initial diagnosis in April 2026. She revealed the condition publicly the following month in May, noting at that time that she had undergone surgery and was collaborating with her medical team on a treatment plan.
Trump separated from Trump Jr. in 2018. She announced last year that she had begun dating U.S. pro golfer Tiger Woods.
The American Cancer Society reports that the average risk of a woman in the U.S. developing breast cancer is about 1 in 8, or 13%. The group also reports that the disease accounts for 30% of all new female cancers each year.
Regarding treatment protocols, the source states that surgery cures most breast cancers. Where some disease remains, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and endocrine therapy can lower the long-term risk. Treatment continues to advance, with more targeted therapies for early breast cancer, new types of hormonal therapy, and more precise and effective radiotherapy available to patients.
Next steps for the family involve the release of a longer video on Saturday featuring Vanessa Trump, Kai Trump, and Dr. Nicole Saphier.
