Country star Alan Jackson's farewell concert will reach television audiences this winter. "Alan Jackson: The Last Show" is set to air on NBC on Dec. 8, and viewers can stream it on Peacock the following day.

The special was recorded on June 29 during Jackson's sold-out final concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. It celebrates his career and serves as a record of his last concert performance.

A long list of fellow artists appears in the program. They include Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, Lee Ann Womack, Adam Wright, Big City Brian Wright and Carlisle Wright.

Jackson performed a number of his best-known songs during the night, among them "Chattahoochee," "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," "Remember When," "Gone Country" and "Livin' on Love." Music from the show will also be featured on a forthcoming live album, "The Last Show: One More for the Road. The Finale (Live from Nashville)."

According to the concert's description, the special will spotlight Jackson's catalog of hits spanning more than three decades, including songs that helped define country music and cemented his place among the genre's all-time greatest songwriters and most-impactful artists.

Sam Wrench directed the special. He is best known for "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" in 2023 and this year's "Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special." His credits also include concert films with Sabrina Carpenter, Laufey, BTS, Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Andrea Bocelli and Mumford & Sons.

Jackson was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018. He was elected to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011.

In 2021, the singer revealed that he had been living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a degenerative nerve condition, for at least a decade. The disease causes nerve damage, mainly in the extremities, and can interfere with a person's ability to walk.

The executive producers are Cindy Mabe, Dawn Gates and Harper Grae for Joan of Arc StudioWorks, and Mike Antinoro and Raj Kapoor for EverWonder Studio, along with Jackson, Debbie Doebler and RAC Clark. Allison Roithinger, Victoria Chamlee and Danny Meiseles serve as co-executive producers for EverWonder Studio. The special is produced by Joan of Arc StudioWorks and EverWonder Studio.
