Real Madrid holds a four-game winning streak entering Sunday's matchup against Barcelona at Camp Nou. A victory for the visitors would cut their six-point deficit in La Liga to three points. Barcelona, the current league leaders, seeks a win to extend their advantage to nine points.

Hansi Flick's squad faces a challenge after suffering its first defeat of the season. The Spanish champions lost 4-2 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday. That result introduced complications for the team's current form heading into the rivalry fixture.

Jose Mourinho returns to the match as Real Madrid's manager. The 63-year-old coach has managed 17 El Clasicos and 27 matches against Barcelona in his career. Florentino Perez originally appointed him in 2010 to compete with Pep Guardiola's Barcelona. Perez now hopes Mourinho can secure the La Liga title for the Bernabeu for the second time.

Flick acknowledged the confidence Real Madrid carries into the game. "When you're managing teams on this level for so many years and you always have success, it's about quality," Flick said. He noted that his team is in an initial phase where the coach and players are still learning from each other after a recent break.

The Paris defeat provided specific areas for improvement for Barcelona. "We analysed this game. We did many things really good, but we saw some situations where we have to improve," Flick said. He described Sunday's match as an opportunity to grow as a team against one of the best in the world.

Mourinho downplayed the impact of his team's recent momentum. "We've been in a good dynamic, winning games, playing well, scoring goals, but in El Clasico, it doesn't matter what you did before," Mourinho said. He emphasized that the rivalry is unique and that the football world stops to watch it.

Both managers expect a high-stakes encounter. Flick stated that while the teams play for three points, the importance of the match goes far beyond that. The match resumes the historic rivalry between the two Spanish giants at the Camp Nou stadium.
