A private company based in Pustomyty has won a financial award of UAH 65.36 million, approximately $1.6 million, against the Russian state. The Commercial Court of Luhansk Oblast issued the decision on October 24, 2026, ordering Russia to cover the value of a lost agricultural inventory.

The dispute traces back to October 2021, when Oliiar contracted for 4,700 tonnes of sunflower seeds from the 2021 harvest. The supplier, Prydniprovske Agrarian Company LLC, delivered the full load to a warehouse in Svatove operated by Svatove-Ahro LLC. By February 24, 2022, the storage facility had transferred 2,592 tonnes to Oliiar. The remaining 2,107 tonnes stayed in the Svatove warehouse until Russian forces seized the site following the start of the full-scale invasion.

The court found that Oliiar provided sufficient proof that the loss of the remaining crop resulted directly from Russian armed aggression. Russia was represented in the proceedings by the Russian Ministry of Justice. The court used an expert valuation to determine the final compensation amount.

Iryna Zalizna is listed as the founder of Oliiar, while Iryna Podoba serves as its director. The company is registered in Lviv Oblast.

This ruling aligns with a previous decision from the same court. That earlier judgment required Russia to pay UAH 51.67 million, or about $1.25 million, to Trading House Agrokhim LLC for assets lost in Svatove and Kakhovka.
